A Life that Screams Wisdom
I find it interesting how often the bible speaks about or references wisdom. One thought I often have is that the Lord is trying to call our attention to how unwise we are and to cause us to be reminded to stop and think before we act. I mean think about how many unwise things we do every day; whether it’s eating something we know is bad for us or saying something to someone that goes against our better judgment, even the “smartest” people can be pretty unwise. In this verse Solomon, one the wisest men to ever live personifies wisdom, giving her a voice with which she cries out in the street and in the public squares. In later verses it is clear that she is trying to get our attention, to hold us accountable for how little thought and intentionality is put in to our day-to-day lives. True wisdom which comes from fear of the Lord goes against all these things. Let us be reminded of this verse always so that we may never forget to be intentional toward furthering His kingdom everday, may we never waste another minute being “unwise”.

Thanks Amy, yes, “may we never waste another minute being ‘unwise’. We do waste alot of time of not thinking, before we act or speak and then we have to deal with “damage control.” oh how I’ve gotten myself in trouble many a time. Thanks for the reminder to always think before I do things instead of running around like a fool wasting time and causing trouble!
