Earthsuit
There are two verses I have been thinking about. One is a life verse Philippians 1:6 “being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus”. The second is Psalms 139:23,24 “Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.”
Philippians gives me the assurance that I am secure in God’s love and that he picked me to follow him with a purpose. That purpose he has chosen for me will not alter and He will never give up on me. The good work he began in me 42 years ago is still going on and moving closer to completion ever day.
However I also know that the road to Christ’s completion in me is taking place in an earthsuit. It is filled with inconsistencies and weakness and sin. Even when the suit seems to be working well I need to keep a watch on it. I think that is what David was doing in Psalms 139. Search me, know me, test me, lead me important things to continually give God the right to in our lives. We need to be confident of our security in Jesus but on a regular basis ask God to search, know and test your earthsuit and then ask Him to lead you in the way everlasting.

Thank you for shairing this. Philippians 1:6 “being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus”. Is my life verse as well. I carry it with me always, knowing that what I can not do, He does. I have never thought of the EarthSuite…. I will remember this one.
