Comfort Zone

Writing a devotional that everyone can read is well out side my comfort zone. “What will they think, what will they say” runs through my mind. I am by no means a good writer, you can ask anyone in my family (and most of Cumberland knows one of my siblings). Much less than a writer, I am not a theologian or even a deep thinker. But frequently God leads us to leave our comfort zone to some unusual task that we deem difficult to us. This is when we need to depend on the power of God for our guidance to do what is set before us. It is then, though the power of God that we can do his bidding, and brings the glory to His kingdom. When the task is out side out comfort zone then it brings glory two fold, you have completed the task, and you have shown how He has worked through you to complete the task.

Sometimes the tasks are small and some instances are life changing. For me this F1A was tiny, but still not what I am comfortable with, I just pray that God works through this writing to effect at least one person.

What is God stirring you to do, and will you faithfully obey, be it a simple word to a neighbor or a mission trip to the other side of the globe? And don’t worry; like it says in Deut. 31.8, the Lord’s got your back.
