Prayer is to the soul as food is to the body
As a church we were privileged to do our second annual F.I.A. prayer walk just last Sun. May 22nd. I personally look forward to our witnessing as a church to our community here in Smyrna. And, as an active member of our LOT team which is responsible for the planning of the FIA’S that Cumberland does, (including the prayer walk) I can tell you personally how much time and effort goes into these events. But, it gives me great joy when we under the Holy Spirit’s direction, plan the prayer walks, as I definitely know peoples’ lives are changed by prayer. It’s so cool to have the opportunity to pray out loud for our local business establishments and schools, and I wait with great expectation to see how God will work through forthcoming testimonies resulting from this most recent prayer walk… when 294 folks from CCC stepped out in faith. You see, prayer is a necessity in the part we play in kingdom building, and when we see and hear answers to our prayers, our faith and trust are strengthened in the Lord’s power. I truly believe prayer is our connection to the Almighty’s heart. How about you?

Anita:
Thanks for your heart and for reminding us about the power of prayer. We are blessed that you call CCC home.
Love you!
Anita,
I also truly believe prayer is our connection to the Almighty’s heart. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and convictions w/CCC.

Agreed. And it is constant because I KNOW prayer changes things! “But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret will reward you.” Matthew 6:6 It’s just me and my Father most times so I do feel connected and refreshed after speaking with him
I love you. Thank you for your post. I hope you are enjoying your visit with your sister!
Thanks, Anita.
I agree, prayer is the path to God’s heart. Thank you for always being there to pray for all of us at CCC. You are a true blessing. The prayer walk was wonderful, and I got to hear my grandson pray out loud for the first time….. how awesome is that!!
