Sorry This Is late Doug

Just read an email from Alan about the trip to Kenya and he brought up and he mentioned why we are going, Jesus, he asked us to attempt to describe him (re-reading this I can see how this might come across as Alan asked if we could describe him, this is not the case he indeed asked us to describe Jesus but now that you thought of describing Alan, go ahead post in the comments) and while I am confident that this statement was made to prove a point it made me think of how I would describe Jesus, God, The Trinity. In the midst of thinking this I was reminded, oh poo poo, I had forgotten to write and get my FOA to Doug, it was due 34.5 hours ago. So I’m at work 1000 things flying through my mind about Kenya and about insanely inefficient paper work in IT and I am reminded 1. How would I describe God and 2. 1st Peter 5:7. I’m sure I have talked with someone who is reading this about how I would describe God, and beyond the undesirable I have another favorite yet equally vague and difficult to grasp term from Exodus 3 “I AM” how cool is that, God IS: all powerful, all knowing, ever present, here, there (excited about seeing the “there” part), past, present, future, God is. Cool. 1st Peter 5:7 has been a theme verse in life for me, its short, but I refuse to write it here so you will look it up and then memorize it, it applies just about everywhere you go and with everything you do its awesome and is just another incredible thing about our Lord. One more thing when you read 1st Peter 5:7 be reminded our King in sovereign there is nothing greater than Him, and he has singled you out.

  • Memorize 1st Peter 5:7
  • Use it today, throughout the day, when things start to go crazy think of it.
  • Praise God for being the “I AM”, infinite and all powerful, indescribable, be conscious when you pray, that while is our Father he is also our King.
