Fearless
Last time I wrote about my experience of going to Kenya and feeling the power of prayer. As I look back on the past few years. I have said countless times to a friend that I will pray for them. However, when I am not talking to them throughout the week I forget about the promise I gave to pray for them. This got so bad that I finally decided to stop telling people that I would pray for them or I would only pray for them immediately. That way I am not able to forget. I still pray for others. However, I am more cautious about telling them I will pray for them.
I feel these verses are calling us to pray for the church. As the church we are called to fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel. Thankfully most of us have not and never will be in chains for the gospel. However, I think there is still fear associated with making the gospel known. The fear of rejection, or the fear of saying the wrong thing. However, with prayer these fears can be conquered. It is not something that we can just pray for ourselves. Otherwise, Paul would not ask for the church at Ephesus to pray for him. So try to pray for someone you know to fearlessly proclaim the gospel.

Thanks John for all you do for CCC and the youth. You must be like your mother because she forgets to pray at times too, I did meet a brother in Christ on the plane two weeks ago who was in chains for Jesus. It does happen even today that belivers are put in jail because of their faith. I would like to ask God to break the chains that hold them and release them from their captives. Also I pray that the gospel would go forth.
Fearless that is such a great word .Fearless in the Lord through prayer. Thanks also for your honesty and plan when it comes to praying for others. Keep pressing on my brother.
