An Echo Effect

We are all God’s children, and as such, I pray that each and every one of us sees God and His potential in every child/youth regardless of who they are. We are ALL created in HIS image. In God, there is no color. Look a child in the eye and smile from your heart and you will transform a life forever.

The Echo Effect started with Ronaldo. I met him on the soccer field and God spoke. With Ronaldo’s discernment at age 11 already, he introduced me to other kids in his neighborhood. I saw so many who needed so little to help them along the way. God would not let go of me. I remember what He planted in my heart and I asked “are you sure God?” and I asked myself “Maria, are YOU sure?”

So with a burdened heart for all these lovable kids, I went to prayer night at CCC back when we had a “hot seat”. God wanted me to sit there so others would pray specifically for this. I told them my heart and they prayed that God would show me the way. That was 3 years ago.

Today on average, 40-45 kids and youth come to Echo twice a week. God is orchestrating and directing in a way that at times is hard to understand. But He builds it, one piece at a time as He keeps bringing them in.

Please pray that God will provide in abundance so we can support each child/youth who walks through the doors with God’s love and hope for the future.
