The God Particle

My husband is an AM radio junkie: Sean Hannity, Rush Limbaugh, Glen Beck. He often refers to himself as having two right wings. Me on the other hand, I’m the hybrid of the family with one left wing and one right wing. While in flight on my left side, I love listening to: WABE, 90.1, Atlanta’s home for the classics and NPR News. While there are times NPR News tends to tilt too far to the left, it at least challenges my conservative side. About two weeks ago, a certain story discussing "The God Particle" made me go, "hmmmm…."

Physicists think this subatomic speck of matter ("The God particle"), if ever found, could explain the mysterious code at the origin of the physical world. It turns out, though, that the physicist who launched the hunt for this elusive particle doesn’t like it’s nickname of, "The God Particle." Like most scientists, he is an Atheist and believes that he can use a scientific method to find this particle, and thus take the credit for a nobel-prize worthy discovery! At the French-Swiss border near Geneva, 6.6 billion dollars has been spent to build an underground "particle collider" in order to prove the existence of "The God Particle." Because scientists believe that "The God Particle" is necessary for everything in the universe to exist, they will go to any length to find it!

People are hungry for something to believe in.  We have it. Let’s show them what they are looking for…the love of Jesus!
