It is so easy to be bogged down worrying about all the junk around us. This is certainly one of those areas I have to die to on a daily basis. I'm not so sure. I think that as we get older we become more convinced of our mortality. That puts us in a position of weakness... which is not a bad thing. His strength is made perfect in our weakness. I think God is blessed when we come to him in our worried weakened condition and lean on him. I would say worry is more of a "nurture" rather than nature. We have been created in God's image and He doesn't worry. We have in our culture nurtured worry. It seems almost "cool" to worry. It is what some do to gain attention or pity. How would our world be different if we dropped everything and prayed when a need is made known instead of worrying?
