Worship: Not Just On Sundays
A lot of times I feel like we choose our churches, Bible studies, conferences, etc. because we “like the worship.” I am guilty of this myself, but reading this passage makes me realize how poorly we define worship. I think we get caught in defining worship by those 20-30 minutes once or twice a week when we are singing songs. Although this time is refreshing and pleasing to the Lord, and absolutely a focused time of worshipping Him, how many other times during the week do you truly stop to worship Him? To glorify and magnify Him for His greatness and majesty.
As the passage says, “the Lord is the GREAT GOD…in His hands are the depths of the earth…the sea is His…let us kneel before our Maker.”
That is pretty powerful stuff! Don’t you think we should make it a very big point in our lives to carve out time to truly worship the Creator of the Universe who perfectly formed each of us?

Thanks Leah for writing, God is good to remind us in simple ways how wonderful and marvolous He is daily. For me the question is am I listening or seeing God during my everyday routine. It is easy to sit beside an ocean, or on top of a moutain and praise God for His creation. It is hard to see Him in the copying that has to be done, the nose that has to be wiped, the paper that has to be graded. I have learned and am learning to look for God in the everyday and praise Him in the hard times. We sing a song that describes tough things and then the chorus says ” Still I will worship You”
God I want to worship you in every way today. Help me see you and know you.
Come, let us bow down in worship, let us kneel before the LORD our Maker;
