What do you believe about Jesus?
Jesus is asking the religious leaders of this time, “How can the Lord say to the Lord”? The Pharisees and the Saducees had religion and not relationship with Jesus. They knew of Christ’s coming but they expected him to come in another way. In verse 43 The Lord was talking about His time of coming back on earth after all His enemies are under his feet. This a small mystery of the Second coming of Christ. The religious of His time missed the first coming because of their religious ways. My question to the modern day religious people, “What do you believe about Jesus?”

Today I am thankful for a new day, I am choosing the Prince of Peace when I feel no peace. The first day of a new school year is always hectic and a little nerve wracking. I am choosing to walk with my Lord and savior the Prince of Peace.
two important questions: do you believe in Jesus AND what do you believe about Jesus?
Thanks Dr. Natalie.
love you!
Glad the college is meeting at CCC.

I love this verse and the very clear explanation. I try so hard to reassure people of the difference between having faith,a relationship and having a religion to cling onto. I have been asked, “are you religious?” I’ve heard, “You are going to church not on a sunday? Man you must be really religious” “You are reading what book? Wow! You are religious!”
discussion answers:
1. I believe wholeheartedly that Jesus is the Son of God. That He shed blood on that cross and even before. Broke his body all for our salvation. That is a love that I just cant wrap my head around. Agape!
2. Although I have struggled with my relationship with God, it is a work in progress. Prayer prayer prayer!
3. A relationship allows me (and others) to get to know Jesus, to know His heart and His will. If I cling onto religion, a book of rules and regulations, I miss His heart and consume myself with anxiety and guilt for not being able to live up to ALL of the rules. Just my thought.
4. Refer to numero uno
5. This is a funny question at a time like now since just yesterday an old friend of mine opened the door to a conversation about God. It is really scary to talk about Him because I dont want to seem like I am throwing the good book in her face and beating her up with it! Am i willing? Absolutely! Do I have the tools to do so? I believe so, its just a matter of putting them all together to help build a strong conversation that my friend and others can understand and not be overwhelmed.
Maybe I wasnt supposed to answer EVERY question, but I felt compelled! Thanks for letting me share!
