When life gives you lemons, God makes lemonade… and makes plenty for you to share
Everywhere you go, you can’t help but see all the broken people that surround us. People who maybe had “everything” and lost it all. Those who never had “it.” Their dreams an desires, their hopes have all turned to nothing. They live their lives everyday in pain and suffering.
We all at some point in our lives in some form or fashion we all go through these times in our lives. We forget the Good News, that God wants to bestow a crown of beauty instead of ashes, gladness instead of mourning, a garment of praise instead of despair. Some have never heard…
In order to be called oaks of righteousness, a planting for the lord and His splendor, in order to rebuild and renew others we first have to give God our broken pieces. Our parents who have left, the pain we feel from abusive relationships, and the unforgiveness that we harbor for these people, The dashed dreams, the financial hardships, the lost jobs, and the list goes on and on. We have to submit these to God so that He can restore us…So that we can go and be used for His glory.
What was meant for bad God meant for our own good, even though we can’t always see it. No he didn’t hurt you and do these things but, he allowed them to happen. His desire is that He will be glorified and in turn you can bless those around you who are going through the same things, so we can build each other up. I promise that if you give God these broken pieces. He will restore them and make them even better than they were before.
God has been gracious to us, He has turned our sadness to joy, set our feet to dancing and has given us beauty for ashes, In turn we need to give everyone a chance. We are the body of Christ, we should mimic that of Christ, so that all may have a chance to hear the GOOD NEWS!

Joy I have to agree with you. Many times when we are down in the dumps because of the lemons of life God has a way of sweetening it up for us. I love the quote from Forrest Gump ” Life is like a box of Chocolates. You never know what life is going to bring.” or even more true what we as humans are going to bring for ourselves. God gives all free will to choose our life’s road and as we choose we have to reap the consequences of our actions good or bad but even in the bad God will show us the error of our ways and sweeten the deal with a window of escape.
By the way Pina Colades are great (virgin style) and dancing in the rain is so much fun. Enjoy!
Joy thanks for sharing! I am so glad you are a part of the ccc family….
Joy… there is so much of YOU and life and Joy in this.
Thanks for your words.
I agree with Kacy.
