The plan revealed
First of all, let’s roll the credits:
Owner of the vineyard: God
The vineyard: Israel
The tenants: the religious leaders
The son: Jesus
This is a story of authority. The farmers were given a vineyard and when the harvest came around, the owner, rightly so, wanted a share. He was refused multiple times and decided to send someone of authority. We see the true heart of the tenants when they decide to kill the son.
Jesus is showing us here that he knew what the plan was. The religious leaders do not want anyone on their “turf”. The way to solve that issue is to kill the son.
How many times has God shown us that he knows what the plan is, and what is truly in our hearts?
I would like to have some great insight here but the truth is that God knows everything. Everything that was, everything that is, and everything that is to come.
As I look at my son this evening, I can only imagine how hard it was to give your only son.
Thank you God for sending your only son. Thank you Jesus for giving your life for me freely.
Thanks Candy for reminding me anew and afresh this morning I don’t have to worry about the plan. God has it in control. I am also in awe of God sending His one and only som for my sins to pay my dept. Thank you Jesus for being willing to come even though you knew the plan too. Praise you Lord for saving my soul.
Today I need to look at my heart and make sure it is not like the tenet’s hearts. At the end of today can I say I have breathed the name of God today and given Him my all?
