Here and Now
When I read that verse, I paused and asked myself. How do I show God that he is worthy? What do my actions, words and heart reflect? God created each of us to worship and we all worship differently. It’s no surprise that I’m an introvert. This verse reminded me that it’s ok. God just wants me to worship freely, the way God created me.
Sometimes I wonder how my day, week or month would look if I truly gave glory, honor and power in all I do. How would my life be different? Worship on earth is just a glimpse of what worship will be in heaven. I remember when my wife’s mom was in hospice and her last few days she listen a CD with old hymns. She was worshipping as she prepared to meet her heavenly father.
Lord, help me to worship you here and now. Remind me that you created me to worship, to show you how worthy you are. Give me the strength to come out of my comfort zone and completely give you the glory, honor and power that you are worthy of.

Amen to that. Worship is an all day everyday thing, and only our Father is worthy of such a thing. I spend to much time and energy focused on other events and aspects of life, and while sometimes this is necessary, I can still do it while worshipping God.
Interesting that at the end of the Bible (revelation) we are talking about the beginning (creation). Why? B/c our God is just that glorious.
Good stuff Steve. Thank you!
I agree…how differently would our lives be if we could truly worship Him in Spirit and Truth with everything we do?! It’s so hard to stay in that spot! I can have this wonderful morning with the Lord and then somehow during the day the flesh takes over and my thoughts turn inward instead of upward. I’m not even aware that it’s happening until I’ve already lost my focus. Then, I have to make a conscious effort to get ‘still’ and focus on the Lord again. But, I don’t take the time to do that very often. It’s a discipline that I need to work on more, and pray about often.
Great word in due season for me…thanks again!
i’m asking what this would look like in my life: “come out of my comfort zone and completely give you the glory, honor and power that you are worthy of.”
thanks, Stephen
