To Look at One’s Self
Have you ever known anyone that would fit that description? Do you sometimes think that you could fit the description? I know for a fact that I have been guilty as charged of feeling like I have the upper hand on everybody else. In the following verses Jesus tries to open the eyes of the Pharisee’s and get them to realize that they are really doing more harm to themselves than the others that they are praying against. I feel that this and the following versus’ explain to me that I should not be praying to be unlike the other sinners in my life but for the sins that I commit myself. To look into one’s self and analyze what I am doing today to make my life resemble what GOD has in store for me.
Jenn God has great and mighty things planned for you. It is hard in our culture to be humble. You can do it,, you deserve it,, give yourself a break no one is perfect are all things we are taught. The bad part of being confident in ones righteousness the trust is placed in self and not in God the author of the righteousness. It is not bad to be good. it is bad to have confidence in that goodness.
