Glorious, Regardless

I am near-sighted and I am not talking about the glasses I have worn since the third grade.  I am thinking about the way I view God.  I see what He does for me, around me, to me.  All close to me.  I say things like “Thank you God, for my family, for the lovely weather, for good health.”  I see the blessings of God but that is limited by my myopic view.

God is great and worthy of all my praise (there I am again.) no matter what is going on in my life.  He is glorious, regardless of the weather in Mableton, Georgia.  He is the real deal even if I have a cold.  In fact, even if I never existed, God would be immeasurably wonderful.

God is fabulous just because He is God, not because I say so. I cannot get my mind around His glory. He is far bigger than that.  My praise should simply be to recognize Him as GOD. Period.
